Position Summary:
At Mac Physical Therapy Group you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication & Support:
- Serve as a friendly first point of contact for patients, responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
- Provide general information about clinic procedures, appointments, and services.
- Follow up on patient questions and direct issues to clinical or administrative staff as needed.
Scheduling & Coordination:
- Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals in coordination with clinical staff.
- Confirm appointments and assist patients with rescheduling if needed.
- Assist with coordinating basic aspects of care between departments or providers.
Administrative Support:
- Enter and update patient information in electronic records accurately.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient files in accordance with privacy standards.
- Assist with general office tasks, such as scanning, data entry, and assisting front-desk operations.
Insurance & Follow-Up Assistance:
- Assist with basic verification of insurance information and direct patients to resources for questions.
- Help track follow-up care needs and communicate with patients to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience working with customers, in an office, or in healthcare support roles- a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable using computers and entering data accurately.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurnace companies and scheduling software is helpful.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work well with patients, and a diverse care team.
