MAC Physical Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing practice. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals while delivering exceptional care.
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, documenting patient progress, and providing age-appropriate therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy treatments according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document daily treatment notes accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy regulations.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Aides in patient care activities as directed.
- Assist in developing and progressing treatment goals and objectives.
- Educate patients regarding therapeutic interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs.
- Support a positive, collaborative clinical environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, practices, and treatment techniques.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and general computer applications.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
